Lil Miquela & Bella Hadid's Kiss In 'I Speak My Truth' Campaign With Calvin Klein Comes Under Fire

Fans were not happy with Calvin Klein after they debuted their latest video with Lil Miquela, the computer-generated influencer (aka robot), who shared a kiss with model Bella Hadid.

After calling the brand out on queerbaiting, the brand has issued an apology.

“We understand and acknowledge how featuring someone who identifies as heterosexual in a same-sex kiss could be perceived as queerbaiting,” the brand’s statement read on social media. “As a company with a longstanding tradition of advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, it was certainly not our intention to misrepresent the LGBTQ+ community.”

Speaking with The Love magazine, Miquela shared that she was feeling a mixture of emotions after the debut of the vid.

“Vulnerability is never easy, but I’ve grown to really love the liberation on the other end of it. It was definitely fun!” she shared.
