Tyler Cameron Says He Turned Down 'The Bachelor'

Tyler Cameron talked with ABC about becoming the next The Bachelor, but he said he ultimately said no to taking on the gig.

Why did he turn it down? “My heart wasn’t 100 percent there, and that’s something you have to be fully invested in,” Tyler told ET. “I was on the other side as a contestant, which is a much easier role than being the lead of the show.”

Tyler also added that his father’s health kept him from saying yes.

“My dad was very sick and I was very nervous and scared,” he shared. “I sat on it, thought on it, and my heart wasn’t in it.”

Peter Weber ended up getting the gig.
