Trump 'Strongly Condemns' Violent Video Played at His Resort

The White House Press Secretary has released a statement after a violent video was shown at a Donald Trump campaign event at one of his resorts.

During a three-day conference for Trump‘s supporters at the Trump National Doral Miami, a video showed a gunman with the president’s head superimposed on the body of the shooter. The victims of the shooting included the president’s critics and logos of media outlets were superimposed on their bodies, according to the New York Times.

Trump‘s 2020 re-election campaign logo was included in the video, but he claims to not know anything about the video.

Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham tweeted on Monday morning (Octoebr 14), “Re: the video played over the weekend: The @POTUS @realDonaldTrump has not yet seen the video, he will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video.”

The late John McCain was one of the victims seen in the clip and his widow Cindy McCain condemned the video in a tweet this morning.

“Reports describing a violent video played at a Trump Campaign event in which images of reporters & @JohnMcCain are being slain by Pres Trump violate every norm our society expects from its leaders& the institutions that bare their names. I stand w/ @whca in registering my outrage,” she wrote.
