Constance Wu‘s Hustlers role was inspired by three people!

While making an appearance on A Little Late with Lilly Singh on Monday night (November 18), the 37-year-old Fresh Off the Boat actress revealed the three people who inspired her Hustlers character, Destiny.

“Yes, I sometimes have this strategy where I think of three kind of iconic or interesting characters,” Constance explained to Lilly. “Meld them into one and I actually got this, somebody told me Johnny Depp for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean.”

“For me, for Hustlers I did this. Mine was Scotty, Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s character in Boogie Nights, Tom Cruise‘s character in Magnolia when he’s doing the interview and my second older sister,” Constance admitted. “The way she is in social situations.”
