'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' Is Being Investigated by WarnerMedia Amid Recent Allegations

WarnerMedia has reportedly launched an investigation to learn more about the workplace at The Ellen DeGeneres Show after allegations were made by nearly a dozen current and former employees.

Following many reports that claimed that Ellen DeGeneres is not a friendly person and doesn’t live up to her “be kind” slogan, a BuzzFeed report claimed that there was a toxic work environment at her talk show.

Variety is reporting that show producer Telepictures and distributor Warner Bros. Television sent a memo to the staff of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to let them know that the investigation has been launched.

WBTV-owner WarnerMedia’s employee relations group and a third party firm will reportedly “interview current and former staffers about their experiences on set.” The goal of the investigation is said to provide “an environment where employees can flourish.”

While the show’s producers didn’t comment on this report, they did release a statement in response to the allegations in the BuzzFeed article.
