Netflix Is Increasing the Price of Their Most Popular Plans

Netflix is raising their prices, and no one is happy about this move.

The Standard two-stream HD plan – which is the streaming giant’s most popular plan option – is going from $12.99 per month to $13.99. This equates to about an 8% increase, Variety reports.

The Premium plan, which offers four screens and 4K Ultra HD content, is now going from $15.99 monthly to $17.99.

The basic plan is remaining the same at $8.99 a month.

“We understand people have more entertainment choices than ever and we’re committed to delivering an even better experience for our members,” a Netflix spokeswoman said in a statement. “We’re updating our prices so that we can continue to offer more variety of TV shows and films — in addition to our great fall line up. As always we offer a range of plans so that people can pick a price that works best for their budget.”

Fans are especially not going to be happy about the price hikes when they read this.
