Morgan Wallen Record Deal Suspended 'Indefinitely' Amid Racial Slur Video

Country musician Morgan Wallen has been suspended by his record label indefinitely. If you do not know, the 27-year-old entertainer was caught on video using a racial slur.

“In the wake of recent events, Big Loud Records has made the decision to suspend Morgan Wallen’s contract indefinitely,” the statement read (via Variety). Republic Records, which distributes his recordings, “fully supports Big Loud’s decision and agrees such behavior will not be tolerated.”

Morgan‘s music was also removed from iHeartRadio.

“I’m embarrassed and sorry,” Morgan said in an apology statement. “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

Morgan had been enjoying success before this unacceptable event. Just last month, his album, Dangerous: The Double Album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
