Orlando Bloom Reflects on the 1998 Near-Fatal Fall That 'Crushed' His Spine

Orlando Bloom is opening up about a very scary accident.

On Friday (August 27), the 44-year-old Pirates of Caribbean actor reflected on his 1998 near-fatal fall that “crushed” his spine.

“That’s me in my back brace circa 1998 about 3months after I fell 3floors and crushed my spine, narrowly escaping death and paralysis,” Orlando wrote on Instagram. “Grateful everyday for my limbs that allow me to push my limits and live life on my edge (safer now🙏)”

Along with his message, Orlando shared a throwback photo of himself wearing a back brace while out on a bike ride.

He also shared a more recent photo of himself wearing a cycling outfit and helmet while out on a bike ride with a friend.

Orlando‘s ex-wife Miranda Kerr took to the comments on the post, writing, “So proud of you ❤️”
