Kanye West is setting all kinds of records with his new album Donda.

The album dropped on Sunday (August 29) at around 8am EST after weeks of promotion and three big listening events that were streamed online.

Immediately after Kim Kardashian posted about the album on her Instagram Stories, fans pointed out an interesting detail about the screenshots that she shared.

Kanye first set the record for the most-watched Apple Music live stream of all time with 5.9 million viewers for his third listening party last Thursday.

Apple Music has also announced that Donda broke the 2021 record for the most-streamed album and artist in a day on the streaming service. Donda was the third most played album on its first day of release on Apple Music, ever.

In its first full day of release, Donda was streamed more than 60M times in the US. Tracks from the album claimed 19 of the top 20 spots on Apple Music’s Daily Top 100 Global songs chart.

Donda set a new record by reaching #1 on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart in 152 countries in 24 hours.

On Spotify, Kanye has also achieved 2021′s most-streamed album in its first 24 hours, topping Olivia Rodrigo‘s debut album Sour.
