Shannen Doherty Wins Her Lawsuit Against State Farm; Shares Update About Cancer

Shannen Doherty is celebrating a win.

The 50-year-old actress has won her lawsuit against State Farm Insurance, after the company refused to pay out what she was clearly covered for in her policy.

State Farm reportedly didn’t want to pay Shannen to rebuild her home in Malibu after it was damaged by the wildfires, according to TMZ.

The site reports that her attorney, Devin McRae, will be filing a payout consistent with the jury’s verdict in the amount of around $6.3 million, which will cover her home, and any personal belongings she lost, as well as emotional distress and attorneys fees.

In addition, Shannen recently gave an update about living with Stage 4 cancer.

During an interview with GMA, Shannen shared that she’s operating as if she doesn’t “have things to check off because I’m going to keep fighting to stay alive.”

She added, “A lot of people who get diagnosed with Stage 4, they sort of get written off. It’s assumed that they cannot work or they can’t work at their full capacity, and that is not true…That is something that I would really like for people to stop assuming and give us a chance to prove them wrong.”
