A Big Name Was Left Off Forbes' Richest Americans List for the First Time in 25 Years

Forbes has released their list of the 400 richest Americans, and for the first time in 25 years, a big name was left off.

The full list features a lot of famous names including businessmen and women, moguls in various fields, and more.

However, for the first time in 25 years, a big name was not included.

This year, Donald Trump did not make the list.

His net worth — an estimated $2.5 billion — actually leaves him around $400 million short to make this year’s list. He is “down $600 million since the start of the pandemic.”

“By plowing that $2.4 billion in an index fund tracking the S&P 500, for example, Trump’s fortune would have ballooned to $4.5 billion by now, leaving him 80% richer than he is today,” the mag explained. “His refusal to divest, in other words, cost him $2 billion.”
