BBC has released a first look at Paul Bettany and Claire Foy in A Very British Scandal!

The pair star as the Duke and Duchess of Argyll, a real-life royal couple who went through a very public divorce in 1963. The headline-making trial involved allegations of forgery, bribery, theft, infidelity and more.

The upcoming BBC One and Amazon Studios series looks like it will definitely bring the drama, with Claire‘s character getting progressively more frustrated by her husband’s claims in the press.

“He doesn’t get to divorce me, I get to divorce him,” she says at one point in the trailer.

A Very British Scandal will premiere on BBC One across three nights, from December 26 to 28. It will be available for U.S. viewers to watch on Amazon in 2022.
