Meghan King Denies This Claim About Her Split From Husband of Two Months Cuffe Biden Owens

Meghan King is setting the record straight.

Last week, the 37-year-old former Real Housewives of Orange County star confirmed reports that she and husband Cuffe Biden Owens – who is the nephew of President Joe Biden – were splitting up after two months of marriage.

In her statement, Meghan said she was “shocked and saddened by the way things turned out” with she and 42-year-old attorney.

Shortly after the news broke, an alleged insider spilled some details on what drove the couple to split.

This alleged insider told E! News that Meghan and Cuffe split up due to “distance.”

“Meghan cannot uproot the children from where they currently live and he lives and works in California,” the insider told E!.

Meghan and her three kids – daughter Aspen, 5, and 3-year-old sons Hart and Hayes – live in St. Louis, Miss. while Cuffe reportedly works/lives in Los Angeles.

After this claim was reported, Meghan shared a statement with Page Six denying that distance was the cause of their split.

“Cuffe lived with me. We didn’t have any distance,” Meghan said in a statement.

“We lived together every day since the day we met,” Meghan added. “There was no Cali/MO distance. There was zero long distance whatsoever.”

Cuffe has not yet publicly addressed his split from Meghan.
