Sandra Bullock Pays Tribute To Betty White: 'I'll Have To Buy Some Rose-Colored Glasses'

Sandra Bullock is remembering Betty White.

The 57-year-old actress opened up about Betty, who passed away at the age of 99 on New Year’s Eve 2021 (December 31).

The two had starred together in 2009′s The Proposal, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Craig T. Nelson and Mary Steenburgen.

In a statement to People, Sandra opened up about how lucky she felt to have been part of Betty‘s life.

Speaking with the magazine, Sandra shared that “I don’t drink vodka … but I will tonight, on ice, with a slice of lemon with a hot dog on the other side and just be okay being sad.”

She added that she’ll “have to buy some rose-colored glasses because Betty was that for all of us.”

In the special edition of People which was leading up to the icon’s 100th birthday, Sandra recalled working opposite Betty on the set.

“Timing isn’t easy in comedy, because you have to navigate other people’s timing. Betty pivots like I have never seen, making it look seamless,” she shared. “The rest of us just remain silent and pray we’re not cut out of the scene.”
