Denise Richards Reveals Her Relationship With Daughter Sami Sheen Is Still 'Strained'

Denise Richards admits that there is still a strain between her and her daughter, Sami Sheen.

The 50-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and actress made an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, where she opened up about how she and Sami are getting on now.

Denise explained that a strain between them is still present.

“Honestly, I have a strained relationship with her,” Denise shared. “It’s very difficult. I know we’ll get back to where we were eventually but right now, it is strained.”

Sami, 17, is currently living with her dad, Charlie Sheen.

“Obviously I would love for her to live with me. She lived with me all these years,” Denise added. “But I think it’s very difficult raising teenagers now and especially in Los Angeles when there’s access to everything. We didn’t grow up with Postmates and Uber where you have everything that you want.”

“There are certain rules and I enforce them. And [at Sheen's], there’s different rules at that house and that’s okay.”

Denise did confirm that Sami is “not in school” at the moment and that Denise doesn’t “agree with certain things” that Sami does.

“But that’s okay. We can agree to disagree,” she shared, adding that while she doesn’t consider herself a “strict mom,” she does have “rules and boundaries.”

Denise and ex Charlie also share daughter Lola, 16.

Just recently, Denise was called out by one of her former co-stars.
