The Six Best Actress Nominees at BAFTAs 2022 Were All Snubbed by the Oscars

None of the six women who are nominated for Best Actress at the 2022 EE British Academy Film Awards are nominated for the same award at the Oscars this year.

The winner of the BAFTA award for Best Actress almost always goes on to win the Oscar as well, so this is something that has not happened in years, or possibly at all.

Five of the six nominated stars stepped out on the red carpet on Sunday (March 13) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

In attendance were Licorice Pizza‘s Alana Haim, House of Gucci‘s Lady Gaga, CODA‘s Emilia Jones, The Worst Person in the World‘s Renate Reinsve, and After Love‘s Joanna Scanlan. It appears that Passing‘s Tessa Thompson did not attend.

The five women who are nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars are The Eyes of Tammy Faye‘s Jessica Chastain, The Lost Daughter‘s Olivia Colman, Parallel Mothers‘ Penelope Cruz, Being the Ricardos‘ Nicole Kidman, and Spencer‘s Kristen Stewart.
