Naomi Judd Has Died at 76, Her Daughters Reveal in Emotional Statement

Legendary country singer Naomi Judd has sadly passed away at the age of 76.

Naomi‘s daughters, Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd, announced the news in an emotional statement.

“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” the statement said (via the Associated Press). “We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.”

The Judds, the music duo of Naomi and Wynonna, were set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday. They also recently announced a Fall 2022 tour, which was being billed as their final tour.

Naomi made her final public appearance just three weeks ago at the CMT Music Awards.
