Julia Louis-Dreyfus played the lead role of U.S. Vice President Selina Meyer in the satirical comedy series Veep.

She won six consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series from 2012 to 2017.

Kevin McCarthy was nominated by his party in November, but House rules dictate that he would need at least 218 votes to secure the position. Thus far he has been unable to get the votes needed six times.

Julia has been very vocal in encouraging political engagement. In November 2022, she pinned a post that said, “I’m so excited! I didn’t just vote – I did something called Vote Tripling, the incredibly effective way to get people to the polls.”
