Travis Kelce's 'Jabroni' Jab Goes Viral, Cincinnati Mayor Responds

You may be wondering why the word “Jabroni” is trending on Twitter.

Well, it’s all because of NFL star tight end Travis Kelce.

If you don’t know, last night (January 29), the Cincinnati Bengals traveled to Arrowhead Stadium to compete against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. The Bengals ended up losing.

Ahead of the game, the mayor of Cincinnati Aftab Pureval tweeted a jab at KC’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes, saying Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow “has been asked by officials to take a paternity test confirming whether or not he’s [Mahomes’] father.” Entering the game, Burrow had a 3-0 record against Mahomes and the Chiefs.

In a post-game interview, Travis got on air and said, “I got some wise words for that Cincinnati Mayor. Know your role and shut your mouth, ya jabroni.”

The Mayor later responded, “Yeah. Deserved that. Congrats to KC on a well-fought win, and good luck in Arizona. Proud of our fans and our @bengals for the energy all year.”
