Rachel Zegler Goes Viral for Honest Answer About Why She Did 'Shazam 2,' Fans Praise Her in Comments

A small snippet from Rachel Zegler‘s red carpet interview is going viral and fans are actually praising her for her honesty.

“What made you want to step into this world of DC heroes?” Rachel was asked by THR on the red carpet at the premiere of Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Rachel is new to the franchise, playing the role of Anthea.

She responded, “I…needed a job. I am being so serious.”

The clip has over 200,000 views after being on TikTok for only a few hours and fans are starting to share and circulate the video.

If you don’t know, Rachel‘s breakout role was in West Side Story, which was released in 2021. She has not been featured in a film or TV show since, despite having a slew of films on the dockets in the next few months/years.

In the comments, fans wrote things like, “Finally an honest answer,” “Refreshingly honest tbh,” “oh how i love celebrities who keep it REAL,” “Relatable,” “oh wow i LOVE this omg,” “REAL,” “AND PERIOD! The full clip, which did not appear in the TikTok, shows Rachel explaining that she filmed West Side Story, but then the pandemic hit and she could not book anything. “I’m so lucky that I got this job,” Rachel said in the extended clip. “I made some of my best friends on this job and I just absolutely adore this movie, too, so I’m excited.”
