Mayim Bialik Reveals If She Would Return for HBO Max's 'Big Bang Theory' Spinoff

Mayim Bialik is sharing her thoughts on the upcoming Big Bang Theory spinoff.

Earlier this month, HBO Max announced that they had teamed up with executive producer Chuck Lorre to develop a new comedy series derived from the hit CBS sitcom that ran for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019.

While stepping out for the 2023 Los Angeles LGBT Center Gala on Saturday (April 22), Mayim, 47, revealed if her character Amy Farrah Fowler would be appearing in the spinoff.

“If I am, I don’t know it. I got the news like everybody else,” Mayim told E! News. “We’re all still pretty close, so there was a lot of texting going on. And I asked my agent. He was like, ‘I don’t know.’ I guess no one knows at this point, but I can’t wait to find out.”

Mayim also mentioned that she’s totally onboard for a guest appearance on the show.

“I’ll do anything related to anything like that,” she said. “But yeah, we really have no idea. So I’m in the same boat as everyone else.”

Mayim emphasized that she has “no idea” what the new show is going to be about.

“I mean, honestly, I’ve been thinking about it,” Mayim shared. “My kids are like, ‘Well, Mama, you have to know,’ and I said I really don’t. I loved all of our characters. And we’ve had so many incredible guest characters. So I was like, it could be anything. It could literally be anything.”

The Big Bang Theory spinoff series isn’t the only exciting new project HBO Max has in the works!
