'Haunting in Venice' Has a Star-Studded Cast & Looks to Be the Scariest Hercule Poirot Mystery Yet - Watch the Trailer!

Kenneth Branagh is back as Detective Hercule Poirot in the new film A Haunting in Venice, which he is also directing.

The film features the same concept as the previous two films in the franchise, 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express and 2022’s Death on the Nile. This film is based off of the 1969 Agatha Christie novel, “Hallowe’en Party.”

The film is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve. Here’s the synopsis: Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.

The film stars Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, history-making 2023 Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, Jude Hill, Kelly Reilly, Emma Laird, Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Ali Khan and Riccardo Scamarico.

The film hits theaters on September 15, 2023, and there’s a rumor it might debut at the 2023 Venice Film Festival!
