Ellen Pompeo Puts Netflix on Blast for Strike Negotiations After They Use Her 'Grey's Anatomy' Character in a Meme

Ellen Pompeo is calling out Netflix.

The 53-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star got candid with her feelings about the streamer after they posted a meme on TikTok featuring her character with the caption: “Me when there’s a [bomb] in the chest cavity,” referring to a famous Season 2 episode plot.

Ellen then posted it on Instagram, replying with her own caption: “Also me when [Netflix] doesn’t pay actors residuals.”

She’s referring to the ongoing stalled negotiations amid the SAG-AFTRA strike, after actors on Netflix shows have come forward to reveal they make pennies in residuals for having their shows on the streamer, regardless of whether the show was successful.
