Courtney Lopez is the Founder and President of West of Fairfax, a social media lifestyle marketing agency, according to her Linkedin profile. She and Selena have been close for 13 years.

In August 2018, Courtney, Selena, Raquelle, and Ashley Cook got matching #4 tattoos to celebrate their friendship. Selena shared photos from the special day and wrote on Instagram, “#4 because these women have stayed by my side for 7 years (@ashley_cook 12 years) 4, because you are my 4 for the rest of my life. I love you ladies. You all inspire me to be better, stronger, closer to god and we have lived the most INSANE story together already. Can’t wait for 50 more!!”

Courtney and Selena also got matching #1 tattoos that day. Selena marked the occasion by posting a cute post-tattoo mirror selfie with Courtney on Instagram.

“You are an incredible woman,” the singer wrote to her friend in the caption. “The way you handle life’s most confusing moments is indescribable and graceful. You are moved by the littlest stories to the most heartbreaking ones, you will give someone your perfume if they say you smell nice, you are freaking hilarious and always stand firm in your faith, a loving sister, an amazing friend and a beautiful daughter. You are the definition of FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made baby!”

Per Selena‘s 2018 Instagram post about the friend group’s matching tattoos, she and Ashley have been friends for 18 years now.

Ashley appears to be a writer and shared some of her work in a September 2023 issue of The Darling Magazine. “I am grateful for the opportunity to share a few words in this issue,” she wrote in her Instagram announcement about the project. “Thoughts on living a life that is a little slower, a little simpler in a world that feels to be fast and seems to be getting faster.”

When Selena released her album Rare in January 2020, Ashley showed her support with an Instagram post. She shared a photo of herself posing with Selena and wrote, “It’s out! you put your heart into this. you’ve grown and shifted and through it all you’ve remained true to yourself. proud of the music you created, but mostly proud of who you’ve become along the way. cheering you on always— but cheering a little louder today.”
