On why he almost turned down Mean Girls…

“I don’t sing,” he explained, noting that he was concerned about the musical aspect of the movie at first. “I’ve seen plenty of social comments where people are like, ‘He’s gonna fu-king sing, I don’t want to watch him sing,’ and that’s a fair point. Really, I can’t.”

That means that fans should not expect to hear him sing “Stupid With Love” from the Broadway production.

This isn’t the first time Christopher has discussed his hesitancy to sing in the movie.

Christopher chose not to rewatch Mean Girls while preparing for the role. That way he would be able to make Aaron his own.

“I’m going to trust my instincts, do the homework that I feel like I need to do, and just try to trust myself as an actor,” he explained. “I was like, I can’t be concerned about trying to recreate something. I can’t be concerned about redoing what was done so well. I’m a different person. It’s 20 years later.”
