'Heartstopper' Season 3 Cast Revealed - 2 Stars Exit, 12 Stars Confirmed to Return & 1 New Actor Joins the Cast

Olivia Colman – NOT RETURNING

Olivia played Nick’s mom Sarah Nelson in the first two seasons, and she just revealed that she will not be back for season three.

“I couldn’t do number three. I couldn’t fit it in. I feel awful about that,” she told Forbes, adding, “I feel like I was part of one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been part of.”

Olivia did, however, express interest in returning should a fourth season get greenlit, and she can know in advance to make sure her schedule is cleared!

Sebastian Croft – NOT RETURNING

Sebastian Croft‘s character Ben Hope was told off by Charlie in season two and he revealed that he was leaving Truham for the upcoming school year.

“We were in constant debate about finding the line between Ben being unrealistically demonic and too sympathetic. I feel we found that line and I am so proud and honored that Sebastian has been a part of Heartstopper,” series creator Alice Oseman told Tudum. “I know that he’ll go on to do incredible things, and I will be cheering from the sidelines all the way.”
