The Spider-Man reboot is in the final stages of casting and now it is down to six actors to possibly play the role of the young web-slinger!

All six of the young teenagers screen-tested for the highly coveted role on Saturday (May 30) and the actor picked will debut in the role in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actors were all flown to Atlanta after producers saw over 1,500 boys for the part. Production is currently underway on the film there!

There were previously reports that Asa Butterfield had already secured the role, but those were not true. Casting was only narrowed down to the six actors in the last couple weeks.

Asa Butterfield is reportedly in early negotiations to star in Sony Pictures and Marvel’s Spider-Man reboot!

The 18-year-old Ender’s Game actor was on a short list of actors being considered for the role, such as Nat Wolff, Tom Holland, Liam James, and Timothy Chalamet.

The film will center on Peter Parker’s life during his high school days.

If you weren’t aware, Spider-Man will first appear in a supporting role in what many believe is Captain America: Civil War, before starring in the reboot.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Alicia Vikander look so gorgeous while arriving at the 2014 Moet British Independent Film Awards held at Old Billingsgate Market on Sunday (December 7) in London, England.

The two ladies – who were both nominated that evening in the Best Actress category – were joined at the event by Helen Mirren, Emma Thompson, Douglas Booth, Asa Butterfield, Rafe Spall, Anne Marie Duff, Sophie Turner, Stanley Tucci, Andrew Scott, and more.

Gugu ended up winning the best actress award for her work in Belle, beating out Alicia for Testament of Youth among many other actresses.

Matt Bomer celebrates after winning the Spotlight Award on the second day of the 2014 Savannah Film Festival presented by SCAD at the Trustees Theater on Sunday evening (October 26) in Savannah, GA.

The 37-year-old actor was joined by his Magic Mike co-stars Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss along with Donald Glover, and Asa Butterfield.

Asa Butterfield makes his red carpet appearance at the Trustees Theater during the first day of the 2014 Savannah Film Festival presented by SCAD on Saturday evening (October 25) in Savannah, GA.

The 17-year-old Ten Thousand Saints actor was joined by The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus for the big bash.

While at the event, Asa was honored with the Rising Star Award and received a trophy for his accomplishment.

Hailee Steinfeld shows off her fake pregnant belly while filming a scene for her upcoming film Ten Thousand Saints on Thursday afternoon (May 1) in New York City’s Tompkins Square Park.

The 17-year-old actress was seen walking with co-star Asa Butterfield, who looked worse for wear.

Set in 1980s New York City, the story follows Vermont teenager Jude (Butterfield), who moves in with his hippie dad in NYC after his best friend Teddy (Avan Jogia) overdoses. There he falls in with the no drugs, no sex, no meat straight-edge hardcore punk scene of the East Village.

Hailee plays Eliza, who becomes pregnant with Teddy’s child and leans on his brother Johnny and Jude for support.

Hailee Steinfeld keeps it chic while filming scenes on the set of her upcoming film Ten Thousand Saints on Monday (January 27) in New York City.

The 17-year-old actress was joined on set by her two co-stars Emile Hirsch and Asa Butterfield, who previously worked with her on Ender’s Game.
