Later that day, the 64-year-old legendary actress attended the official academy members screening of August: Osage County alongside her cast members Abigail Breslin, Chris Cooper, Dermot Mulroney, Tracy Letts, Juliette Lewis, Julianne Nicholson, Margo Martindale, and director John Wells.

“This is what we really love. You’re dragged kicking and screaming into the house of pain, but you just really love being there, honestly,” Meryl told the crowd (via Variety). “It was hard but extremely satisfying.”

FYI: The screening was hosted by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Colin Farrell and James Franco are a pair of dapper dudes while attending day one of the Variety Awards Studio held at the Leica Gallery and store on Wednesday (November 20) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The guys were joined on a panel that afternoon by Captain Phillips‘ Barkhad Abdi, The Book Thief‘s Geoffrey Rush, Inside Llewyn Davis‘ John Goodman, and August: Osage County‘s Chris Cooper.

Colin was there to promote Saving Mr. Banks while James is generating buzz for his supporting role in Spring Breakers.

On a separate panel that day were Kill Your Darlings‘ Dane DeHaan, Lee Daniels’ The Butler‘s David Oyelowo, August: Osage County‘s Dermot Mulroney, and Charlie Countryman‘s Mads Mikkelson.

The actors were joined by their co-stars Abigail Breslin, Juliette Lewis, Dermot Mulroney, Julianne Nicholson, Chris Cooper, director John Wells, and screenwriter Tracy Letts. They all participated in a press conference that morning as well.

The night before, Julia and the cast hit the red carpet at the premiere of the film, which is getting some rave reviews and major Oscar buzz!

Ewan McGregor braves the rain on set of his upcoming TV show, The Corrections, on Monday (February 6) in New York City.

The 40-year-old Scottish actor got soaked in the fake rainstorm while filming scenes with co-stars Chris Cooper and Dianne Wiest.

The Corrections, which will debut next year on HBO, is based on the 2001 novel of the same name by American author Jonathan Franzen.

The project tells the story of three generations of a dysfunctional Midwestern family that meet at their family home for what will be their last Christmas gathering.

Amy Adams, Rashida Jones, and Chris Cooper are in negotiations to join Disney’s untitled Muppet movie, according to THR.

The 36-year-old Enchanted actress and 34-year-old former Office star may join Jason Segel, who has signed on to be the human lead in the movie. Amy would play Segel‘s girlfriend, who joins him in the quest to gather the Muppets while Rashida would play an ABC exec. Chris is in talks to play the greedy villain.

The movie will center on Muppets reuniting to put on a show in order to save a movie studio.

The star-studded cast of The Town pose for a portrait session during the 2010 Toronto Film Festival at Hyatt Regency Hotel on Friday (September 10) in Toronto, Canada.

Co-stars Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, and Chris Cooper were joined by producer Basil Iwanyk and author Chuck Hogan, who wrote the original novel.

“With his follow-up [to Gone, Baby, Gone] Affleck proves he’s no one-trick pony,” writes one reviewer. “It’s just as smart and well-executed as Affleck‘s last, and with him back in front of the camera too, it delivers on all that promise of Affleck‘s earlier career as an actor.” Kudos, Ben!
