Corinne Olympios Breaks Silence on 'Bachelor in Paradise' Decision

Corinne Olympios‘ lawyer has released a statement to Just Jared about Warner Bros’ investigation and subsequent decision that no sexual assault took place on the set of Bachelor in Paradise after her hookup with DeMario Jackson.

“It needs to be made crystal clear that production of “Bachelor in Paradise” was shut down because of multiple complaints received from “BIP” producers and crew members on the set. It was not shut down due to any complaint filed by Corinne against anyone,” her lawyer wrote. “It comes as no surprise that Warner Bros., as a result of its own internal [i]nvestigation, would state that no wrong doing had occurred. Our own investigation will continue based on multiple new witnesses coming forward revealing what they saw and heard.”

If you missed it, ABC has announced Bachelor in Paradise will resume production and air later this summer. It’s unclear if Corinne or DeMario will be involved.

Corinne previously spoke out about the alleged sexual assault.

'Bachelor in Paradise' Misconduct Investigation Finds No Sexual Assault, Production Will Resume

Warner Bros. has concluded their investigation into allegations that Corinne Olympios was sexually assaulted during an encounter with DeMario Jackson during filming for Bachelor in Paradise.

A statement released moments ago concludes that no assault happened.

“As we previously stated, we recently became aware of allegations regarding an incident on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico,” Warner Bros. said in a statement Tuesday (via THR). “We take all such allegations seriously. The safety, security and well-being of the cast and crew is our number one concern, and we suspended filming so that the allegations could be investigated immediately and thoroughly. Our internal investigation, conducted with the assistance of an outside law firm, has now been completed. Out of respect for the privacy interests of those involved, we do not intend to release the videotape of the incident. We can say, however, that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member. Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast member was ever in jeopardy. Production on this season of Bachelor in Paradise will be resuming, and we plan to implement certain changes to the show’s policies and procedures to enhance and further ensure the safety and security of all participants.”

A producer originally claimed that Corinne was inebriated and that she was unable to consent to sexual conduct with DeMario.

It’s unclear if Corinne and DeMario will be back in Mexico with the rest of the cast to resume production.

Bachelor in Paradise's Jasmine Claims Corinne Forced Herself on Three Male Cast Members

Jasmine Goode, one of the contestants on Bachelor in Paradise‘s upcoming season in limbo, has spoken out about the scandal that shut down production.

The reality star appeared on the previous season of The Bachelor with Corinne Olympios and it doesn’t sound like she has her former co-star’s back in the situation.

“The day of the incident under investigation, Corinne did not display any change in behavior from what was observed by the cast on her season of The Bachelor,” Jasmine said in a statement to E! News. “Corinne forced herself on three male cast members, when they were unable to consent, in addition to engaging with DeMario. After the incident everything seemed fine. There was no mention about being hurt. However, when producers tried to cut her off from drinking, she got upset and said, ‘Watch, watch what I’m gonna do.’”

“The cast is not encouraged or forced to engage in any behaviors or to drink alcohol,” she added. “Producers check in to make sure the cast is comfortable and accommodate to the needs requested.”

Corinne released a statement earlier this week in which she claimed that she is a victim following an alleged sexual encounter with DeMario Jackson, in which she did not give consent.
