So many stars stopped by the Variety Studio at the 2021 Toronto Film Festival!
Some of the famous faces in attendance at the studio – presented by Canada Goose – included The Power of the Dog‘s Benedict Cumberbatch and Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Forgiven‘s Jessica Chastain, Mothering Sunday‘s Josh O’Connor, Dear Evan Hansen‘s Julianne Moore and Amandla Stenberg, Last Night in Soho‘s Krysty Wilson-Cairns and Edgar Wright, Dune director Denis Villeneuve, Montana Story‘s Owen Teague and Haley Lu Richardson, and more.
Later that night, Benedict stopped by the premiere of his film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain in Toronto, Canada and posed with some of the cast and crew including writer/director Will Sharpe. See the photos in the gallery!

Rebecca Ferguson looks stunning in an off the shoulder gown at the premiere of Dune, held at Cinesphere during the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday night (September 11) in Toronto, Ontario.
The 37-year-old actress, who plays Lady Jessica in the upcoming epic, was joined by director Denis Villeneuve and his wife, Tanya LaPointe, on the red carpet.
In a recent interview, Rebecca spoke about the fight scenes in the movie.
“The fighting in Dune is for necessity,” she shared with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s not an elongated fighting sequence; it’s a quick disarm to prove your point or prove your power. So everything is at such different levels than what I’m used to.”
Dune, also starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, will be out in theaters in October.
Last week, the trio were in Paris to promote the film!

Zendaya brought the drama with her look to the photocall and premiere of Dune at Le Grand Rex on Monday (September 6) in Paris, France.
The 25-year-old actress joined co-stars Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson at the event, alongside director Denis Villeneuve.
Zendaya and Timothee reunited with Rebecca and Denis following the premiere of the movie during the 2021 Venice Film Festival over the weekend.
After the premiere in Venice, Zendaya was celebrated by Valentino with a private dinner party. Check out the pics here!

Dune is a 1965 novel by Frank Herbert and the book was turned into a 1984 movie starring Kyle MacLachlan.

Dune producers and director Denis Villeneuve are not happy with Warner Bros’ decision to move the movie to HBO Max for streaming in October 2021, foregoing a major wide release.
If you missed it, HBO Max and Warner Bros. struck a deal to have every one of their movies stream on the platform, in addition to being released in theaters simultaneously.
Now, a source is speaking out about what might happen with Dune and Godzilla Vs Kong specifically.
According to Deadline, “Legendary is in a big fight that might result in lawsuits after it financed 75% of tentpoles ‘Dune’ and ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ and was completely blindsided. Rumors have the solution to that breach being to preserve ‘Dune’ as a traditional theatrical to preserve its franchise potential and since its October 1 release date falls well after the estimated late spring date when Covid vaccines should achieve herd immunity. ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ might stay an HBO Max hybrid in its May 21 slot, but only if Warner Bros. makes a deal with Legendary that uses as a base the $250 million value established when the film was shopped earlier to Netflix.”
The reason Dune producers are not happy with the streaming decision is reportedly because they believe it could hurt the ability to make the film into a franchise.
