Mel B's Income 'Dramatically Reduced,' Wants Eddie Murphy to Pay More in Child Support

Spice GirlsMel B has filed court documents to have Eddie Murphy hand over financial papers to assess child support payments.

The 45-year-old singer and 59-year-old comedian share a 13-year-old daughter, Angel.

The court documents read, according to Us Weekly, “Eddie and Melanie have both established careers in the entertainment industry. Melanie is a singer, songwriter and television personality. Eddie is a legendary comedian and actor. Until recently, Melanie has been fortunate in her career to sustain a comfortable lifestyle for herself and Angel. Unfortunately, Melanie’s income has dramatically reduced, such that she must consider modifying child support for the first time.”

When they last agreed to terms in 2009, Eddie was reportedly ordered to pay $25,000 a month in child support, as well as Angel’s health insurance. He is also supposed to contribute to her education.

In addition to Angel, 13, Eddie is also dad to Eric, 31, with Paulette McNealy, Bria, 30, Miles, 27, Shayne, 26, Zola, 20, and Bella, 18, with Nicole Murphy, Christian, 29, with Tamara Hood and Izzy, 4, and Max, 22 months, with fiancée, Paige Butcher.

Jennifer Lopez Reveals She Wants to 'Shoot Her Toe Off' For Turning Down This Movie Role

Renée Zellweger, Eddie Murphy, and Jennifer Lopez are on the cover of Vanity Fair‘s Hollywood issue!

Here’s what the stars had to share with the mag…

Jennifer, on passing on the leading role in the movie Unfaithful: “I should have known that Adrian Lyne was going to kill it, but I didn’t. Diane Lane was so perfect for it, and it was obviously meant to be her, but when I think about that, I was offered it, and I had the opportunity…. I want to literally, like, shoot my toe off. I do.”

Eddie, on taking a break from Hollywood: “About eight years ago. I said it’s time to take a break and not really be pushing at movies. Getting it right with the director and the writers and having everything work together…that takes a lot of effort, and it’s strenuous. I had gotten to the point where I was just so burned out on the process of making a movie that if I was a little boy, I would have started crying.”

Renee, on doing things on her own terms: “No one’s going to invite you to do it. You shouldn’t wait. If it’s something that’s your passion, then do it. That really is the truth. No one’s ever going to anoint you and say, ‘No, no, no, you *do* have the skills to do this, you really *do*,’ even before you’ve checked off all the things on your list that you think will validate you or substantiate you or your desire to participate. There’s always going to be someone who tells you not to do it. Be around a bunch of people who tell you you can.”
