Netflix is unveiling a first look at Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, and more in its upcoming sci-fi thriller, Leave The World Behind!

Based on Rumaan Alam‘s bestselling novel, the movie’s apocalyptic story looks like a must-see!

Leave The World Behind‘s supporting cast includes Mahershala Ali, Charlie Evans, Farrah Mackenzie, and Myha’la Herrold. The film releases in limited theaters on November 22, and on Netflix on December 8, 2023.

The official synopsis reads: “In this apocalyptic thriller from award-winning writer and director Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot), Amanda (Roberts) and her husband Clay (Hawke), rent a luxurious home for the weekend with their kids, Archie (Evans) and Rose (Mackenzie). Their vacation is soon upended when two strangers — G.H. (Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Herrold) — arrive in the night, bearing news of a mysterious cyberattack and seeking refuge in the house they claim is theirs. The two families reckon with a looming disaster that grows more terrifying by the minute, forcing everyone to come to terms with their places in a collapsing world.”

Nothing was going to stop Ethan Hawke from being at the TIFF premiere of his new movie Wildcat, not even an incoming hurricane!

The 52-year-old actor, who wrote and directed the new movie Wildcat, walked the red carpet with his daughter Maya Hawke at the premiere on Monday night (September 11) in Tornto, Canada.

Maya stars in the movie and they were joined at the event by co-stars Laura Linney, Philip Ettinger, Rafael Casal, Christine Dye, and Willa Fitzgerald.

While on the red carpet, Maya revealed that Ethan took a bus from New York City all the way to Toronto after flights were canceled because of the weather.

The stars stepped out for the 2023 TIFF Tribute Gala & Awards during the Toronto Film Festival over the weekend!

Camila Morrone, Patricia Arquette, Willem Dafoe, Spike Lee, Taika Waititi and Shawn Levy were among the attendees, alongside Pedro Almodovar, Ethan Hawke, Ryan Hawke, Viggo Mortensen, Vicky Krieps, and Devery Jacobs.

Pedro was honored at the event with the Jeff Skoll Award in Impact Media, Patricia picked up the Share Her Journey Groundbreaker Award, and Shawn with the Norman Jewison Award.

In addition, Spike was awarded the Ebert Director Award and Vicky was the recipient of the TIFF Tribute Performer Award.

The awards, and gala dinner served as a fundraiser for the festival’s philanthropic efforts.
