'I Know What You Did Last Summer' Series in the Works at Amazon!
I Know What You Did Last Summer is becoming a series!
The 1997 horror flick, as well as its source 1973 novel by Lois Duncan, is becoming a YA horror drama at Amazon, THR reported Wednesday (October 14).
“The show will share a premise with the movie, in which a group of teenagers is stalked by a killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night, but put a modern spin on the material,” the outlet reports.
Gossip Girl‘s Sara Goodman is writing and executive producing the show, which comes from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures TV. The film starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. and grossed $125 million worldwide.

Neal Moritz and Original Film’s development consistently fires on all cylinders and that is proven once again with Sara Goodman’s contemporary and pulsating character weaving suspense thriller,” said Sony Pictures TV Studios co-president Jason Clodfelter.

'I Know What You Did Last Summer' Reboot is Happening!
Here is some amazing news for anyone feeling a little nostalgic today – there is going to be a reboot of the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer!
The original film starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Phillippe, and soon to be married couple Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.
The movie made $125 million worldwide back in 1997 and a sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, was released the following year.
The reboot will be written and produced by Mike Flanagan, who co-wrote and directed the horror film Oculus. It is likely that the film will have a small budget similar to recent horror hits. It is expected to be rushed into production to be released in 2016, according to Deadline.
