Stephen Colbert has announced that Jon Batiste has departed his gig as the bandleader on The Late Show after seven seasons.

Jon, who has won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and five Grammys during his tenure on the late night show, will be pursuing personal and professional interests.

“We’ve been so lucky to have a front row seat to Jon‘s incredible talent for the past seven years. And will we miss him here? ‘Yeaaa!’ But we’re happy for you, Jon, and I can’t wait to have you back on as guest with your next hit record,” Colbert said during his show on Thursday (August 11).

Mary J. Blige, Amanda Seyfried and Quinta Brunson didn’t miss a style beat while arriving at the 2022 Time 100 Gala held at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center on Wednesday night (June 8) in New York City.

The three stars were joined by so many more at the annual event, which celebrates the 100 most influential people in the world.

Amanda‘s husband, Thomas Sadoski, supported her on the red carpet, alongside Simu Liu, Taika Waititi, Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin, J Balvin and Valentina Ferrer, as well as Bill Gates and his daughter, Phoebe.

Others there included Olympian Eileen Gu, Dwyane Wade, Hwang Dong-kyuk, Adrienne Norris, Jazmine Sullivan, Michelle Zauner, and Jon Batiste.

On Thursday (May 5), the 35-year-old Grammy winner announced that he and his team have tested positive for the virus, and would therefore will be postponing his upcoming American Symphony performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

David Harbour holds on tight to a suited up teddy bear while arriving at the Thom Browne Fall 2022 Fashion Show on Friday (April 29) in New York City.

The Stranger Things actor, who was joined by stars like Maisie Williams and Danai Gurira, passed off the bear to Licorice Pizza‘s Cooper Hoffman for another photo opp.

Other celebrities at the event included Leslie Odom Jr, Jon Batiste, Charles Melton and his new girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, Amandla Stenberg, Imogen Poots, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 star Will Poulter.

Ella Emhoff, King Princess, Gossip Girl‘s Evan Mock, Antoni Porowski, couple Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor, Simon Rex, Tommy Dorfman, and Tom Sturridge were also seen sitting front row for the presentation.

The new collection is inspired by the Island of Misfit Toys from the classic animated film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

“In a way, I always feel New York is an island of misfit toys,” designer Thom Browne shared with WWD. “It’s a place where you can really be true to yourself and be comfortable. People are so much more accepting and it’s such an inspiring time.”
