The 2023 New York City Marathon is happening now!

The event is taking place on Sunday (November 5) in New York City, and it’s the 52nd edition of the race.

The annual NYC-based marathon draws thousands of attendees and participants in the big race. More than 50,000 runners from 150 countries are expected to take part in the event, and tons of celebrities are included in the marathon as well.

This year is no exception, featuring reality TV stars, actors, co-anchors from popular news programs and many more, via New York Road Runners.

Luke Macfarlane has announced that he will run the New York Marathon in memory of his partner Hig Roberts‘ late brother.

For those who don’t know, the 43-year-old Bros actor and his partner Hig became parents earlier this year!

“I am running the New York City Marathon Nov 5th with my partner Hig and his twin sister Cassady,” Luke wrote on his donation page. “Seven years ago Hig and Cassady lost their little brother Murph due to complications from Type 1 diabetes. I never got the chance to meet Murphy, but loving Hig and the Roberts family I feel like I have got to know a bit about their remarkable brother and son, and we are taking this opportunity to remember Murph loudly and keep his memory focused in our hearts.”

The 43-year-old actor set his return to the network, starring alongside Ashley Williams, Marcus Rosner, and Peter Porte.

Here’s a summary of the movie: Ellie (Williams) is a fun-loving, classically trained pianist living in the city who gave up on her passion long ago. Now working for a hotel, she always seems to be getting things wrong when musical inspiration strikes. Her best friend Leo (Macfarlane) lives in the rustic outskirts of British Columbia. He’s a famous author with writer’s block who can’t seem to finish another installment in his highly popular book series.

Realizing they both need a change of scenery as the chilly days of autumn settle in, they decide to swap places, only to find themselves completely lost in new surroundings. Ellie gets tangled up in helping Sam (Rosner), Leo’s neighbor, put together a musical performance for a local fundraiser and comes to terms with why she quit music years ago. Leo strikes up a friendship with Ellie’s good friend Matt (Porte) and opens himself up to writing something different that really inspires him.

Their newfound friendships turn into something far more meaningful, and as both Ellie and Leo take part in the joys of the autumn season, they also discover their hearts belong somewhere very different than they ever thought possible.

Notes of Autumn will air TONIGHT, Saturday, September 15 at 8 p.m. on Hallmark Channel.

Luke Macfarlane‘s Hallmark Channel return has officially been announced!

The fan favorite actor will be back on the network during the Fall Into Love programming event, and will star opposite Ashley Williams, Peter Porte and Marcus Rosner in Notes of Autumn.

Luke‘s return was first teased by Ashley, who shared a fun video on her Instagram of the two on set.

Luke Macfarlane opened up in a new interview.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, the 43-year-old actor spilled on a project from his past, one from his future and one that, sadly, will not come to fruition.

More specifically, he looks back on Bros, the 2022 gay rom-com he starred in with Billy Eichner. The movie underperformed based on expectations. However, Luke presented a more optimistic spin on its performance.

What’s coming in the future? He teased a new Hallmark Channel movie and revealed how that sort of project differs from more traditional studio work.

Perhaps most importantly, Luke said that he was offered a role in the forthcoming Barbie movie, which he had to pass on! He explained the heartbreaking but understandable reason that he was unable to co-star with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
