'The Marvels' Gets New Look Trailer & IMAX Poster Showcasing Trio of Heroes

The Marvels is gearing up for its theatrical release!

Marvel Studios unveiled a new look at the upcoming movie today (September 12) paired with a new poster promoting The Marvels‘ IMAX release.

The action-packed 30-second trailer features main heroes Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) wielding their unique super powers in battle.

The Marvels releases in theaters and IMAX on November 10.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “In Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’”

Directed by Nia DaCosta, The Marvels‘ cast includes Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson in support of its main stars Brie, Iman, and Teyonah.

Brie Larson & Teyonah Parris Reveal the 'Marvels' Stunt Gone Wrong

Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani and Nia DaCosta are opening up about The Marvels.

The cast and crew of the upcoming Marvel movie got candid in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, conducted before the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

During the conversation, they spoke about the upcoming film, their characters, and a particular stunt gone wrong.

The movie hits theaters on November 10.

Brie Larson & Boyfriend Elijah Allan-Blitz Promote New Project at D23, Plus 'The Marvels' Cast Steps Out Together!

Brie Larson had a busy weekend at the 2022 D23 Expo!

The 32-year-old actress was joined by her boyfriend Elijah Allan-Blitz while attending a panel for their new augmented reality short film Remembering on Friday (September 9) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.

Brie stars in the film, which was directed by Elijah. It’s now streaming on Disney+!

“I was mostly inspired by the work of Elizabeth Gilbert’s books, and Ted Talks, dealing with the, just the concept that ideas are not from us, but they are all around us. Ideas don’t always come to use in the conscious world and aren’t necessarily manifested in physical form. I wanted to explore what that looked like,” Elijah told Deadline.

On Saturday, Brie stepped out with her The Marvels co-stars Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris, as well as director Nia DaCosta, to promote the upcoming Marvel film.

The Marvels will be released in theaters in 2023.

Nia DaCosta Directed 'Candyman' Delayed Until 2021

Candyman is the latest movie to face a delay in getting out to the theaters.

The film was set to hit theaters on October 16, however, it it being pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has closed theaters for many months and delayed even more movies.

Now, Candyman will open sometime in 2021, Variety says.

Directed by Nia DaCosta, the film is based on a ghostly legend and centers on a struggling artist (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) who begins to lose his sanity after discovering the story of Candyman. As the tale goes, if someone says his name to a mirror five times, Candyman will appear and kill whoever summoned him.

Wonder Woman 1984 announced an additional delay earlier today, as well. Here’s when it will hit theaters now…

Marvel Hires Nia DaCosta To Direct 'Captain Marvel 2'

Nia DaCosta has been tapped to direct the sequel to Captain Marvel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The filmmaker will head behind the camera for the second movie in the franchise, with Megan McDonnell penning the script.

Nia is also helming Universal’s upcoming Candyman, and made her directorial debut with Little Woods, which starred Tessa Thompson, that premiered in 2018 at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Captain Marvel 2, which will bring back Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, is curently scheduled for a July 8, 2022 release.

In the first film, Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers.

Jordan Peele Shares 'Candyman' Teaser Ahead of Trailer - Watch!

Jordan Peele is teasing fans ahead of the release of Candyman!

The 41-year-old writer and producer took to Twitter on Tuesday (February 25) to offer a sneak peek at the film.

“I dare you to say his name,” Jordan wrote along with a brief clip. “Click below to tweet #Candyman 5 times in one post. @CandymanMovie will haunt your feed with an exclusive first look. See the trailer on Thursday.”

Here’s the synopsis: “A ‘spiritual sequel’ to the 1992 horror film Candyman that returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.”

Directed by Nia DaCosta, the movie stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Colman Domingo.

Candyman is set to hit theaters on June 12!

Tessa Thompson Attends 'Little Woods' Premiere in Hollywood

Tessa Thompson is celebrating her new movie!

The 35-year-old actress hit the pink carpet at the Los Angeles Pink Carpet Premiere of Little Woods hosted by Refinery29, NEON and Rooftop Cinema Club at NeueHouse Hollywood on Monday (April 1) in Los Angeles.

Co-star Lance Reddick, writer and director Nia DaCosta Dear White People star Logan Browning, Transparent‘s Trace Lysette, White Rabbit actress Nana Ghana and The Talk‘s Aisha Tyler were all in attendance at the event.

The movie, which hits theaters on April 19, is a modern Western about two sisters who work outside the law to better their lives.

FYI: Tessa is wearing an Alexandre Vauthier outfit with Harry Kotlar earrings and an AS29 ring.
