Real Housewives' Peter Thomas Has COVID-19, Thinks a Fan Gave It to Him

Peter Thomas, who is best known for appearing on Real Housewives of Atlanta, has revealed that he is battling the novel coronavirus.

The 58-year-old reality star, who used to be married to Cynthia Bailey, says that he thinks he got COVID-19 after taking photos with fans.

Peter posted a video on Instagram in which he detailed his experience. He didn’t test positive until he took the test six times.

“I’m going to tell you something, wear your mask, wear gloves and practice social distancing,” he said. “People come up to me and ask me to take pictures all the time and they want me to have the mask off and they want to hug on me and they say they like me. I take those pictures, and every time I take those pictures, I’m praying to God that I don’t get this thing, but it caught up to me.”

“It’s the most excruciating pain I could think of. My stomach [has been] a complete wreck for the last 8 days, pain [and] constant cramping. The pain is crazy. Chills all day and all night,” he said (via People). “I gotta be in bed for another seven days before they come and take the test again. I have to be negative twice before I can even think about outside. I guess I should be celebrating because here in Miami there’s 260 people dying everyday for the last 7 days. I am celebrating because I’m still alive.”

“I want you guys to take this thing extremely serious because it’s no joke. The pain don’t go away,” Peter added. “Your body is extremely sensitive, the slightest little thing, it’s constant pain everywhere. I can’t wait for this s–t to be over.”

All of these stars also tested positive for coronavirus

“‘If You’re Happy Now’ takes place after having some time to process a breakup. Heartbreak has been replaced by a less intense heartache. I find myself wondering about you. Are you okay? Do you have someone new? Are we in the same time zone? Maybe we’re not ready to talk yet, and maybe we won’t end up together, but I still care. I’ll always care. And I want to know if you’re alright,” Peter says of the song.

Peter Thomas, Producer for Hilary Duff, Betty Who & More, Debuts Carly Rae Jepsen Cover feat. Leland - Listen Now!

Peter Thomas is stepping out from behind the boards and into the spotlight.

The superstar pop songwriter and producer, responsible for bops like Hilary Duff‘s “Sparks” and much of Betty Who‘s output, is making his own artist debut on Friday (June 15) with a cover of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Run Away With Me” featuring Leland, which you can hear exclusively on Just Jared.

“It was Thanksgiving. Los Angeles was deserted, and I’d just gone through a breakup. I sat down at the piano and began playing Carly Rae Jepsen‘s ‘Run Away With Me.’ I’ve always loved that song. The more I played the it, the more it took on new life for me – a softer, more solitary energy. I felt the vast emptiness of the city at night, the longing for something lost, the rush of something new,” Peter explains.

With plenty of songs “sitting in the vault,” this cover is just the beginning. Listen below!
