The Red Hot Chili Peppers have released their brand new music video for “Dark Necessities,” which was directed by Olivia Wilde.

The song is the lead single off the band’s new album The Getaway, which will be released on Friday (June 17).

To promote the release of the album, the band made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden earlier this week for a fun Carpool Karaoke segment.

Olivia definitely has music credibility after working on the HBO series Vinyl! Watch the music video below.

The 37-year-old talk show host joined the guys – Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Josh Klinghoffer and Chad Smith – as they sang a bunch of their hits including “Give It Away Now,” “Under the Bridge,” “Californication,” new single “Dark Necessities” and a song from the musical Oliver!

James and Anthony also end up in a wrestling match after the two have a conversation about Greco-Roman-style wrestling.

Anthony Kiedis was taken to the hospital just hours before his band the Red Hot Chili Peppers were to perform at KROQ’s 2016 Weenie Roast on Saturday (May 14) in Irvine, Calif.

According to Billboard, the 53-year-old singer’s band mate Flea took the stage at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre to apologize to the crowd and said they were “devastated.”

Anthony was reportedly suffering from stomach pain, but it’s unclear what the problem was exactly.

KROQ tweeted, “Unfortunately due to illness the @ChiliPeppers were forced to cancel their set tonight at #WeenieRoast. More details to come.”

Lady Gaga happily hits the stage to give a special performance at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy Launch held on Wednesday (April 13) in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old entertainer served as the musical guest for the evening alongside John Legend, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and DJ Mark Ronson.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers take the stage with halftime performer Bruno Mars for the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime show on Sunday evening (February 2) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The band, including shirtless lead singer Anthony Kiedis, Josh Klinghoffer, and bassist Michael “Flea” Balzary, rocked out to their hit “Give it Away” alongside Bruno. Several of them even went shirtless during the show!

Bruno Mars gives an amazing and high-energy performance during the 2014 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show held on Sunday (February 2) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The 28-year-old singer started the show by having a children’s chorus sing his verse from the song “Billionaire” before he hopped on stage for a drum solo.

Bruno then went into his songs “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Treasure,” “Runaway Baby,” “Give it Away” with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and finally his song “Just the Way You Are,” which began with a tribute to army families.

Even though it was freezing cold in New Jersey, both the RHCP lead singer Anthony Kiedis and band member Flea went shirtless. Brrrrr!!!
