Kelly Clarkson is opening up about her social media rules for her kids, River Rose and Remington Alexander.
The 41-year-old “Mine” singer shares her children with her ex-husband, producer and executive Brandon Blackstock.
During a Saturday (January 6) cover interview with People, Kelly shared that she doesn’t let them use social media at all right now.
Apparently, River tried to negotiate about it with her mother.

Kelly Clarkson looks stunning while performing on The Today Show!
The 41-year-old pop singer appeared on the show in New York City on Friday (September 22) for an in-studio interview and performance before an exuberant crowd of fans.
Kelly talked about her new album Chemistry, as well as her children before taking the stage as part of the Citi Concert Series. The deluxe version of Chemistry released on Friday after the album originally hit shelves and streaming in June 2023.
When asked if she will push her daughter River and son Remington to enter the music industry, Kelly replied, “No. I mean, I’m not going to not push.”
“I’m a parent, whatever you want to do. It’s hard for me to sit here and go, ‘Don’t do this industry’ because I’m in it. I do think kids that grow up in it, it’s hard for them not to be inspired by it or wanting to be a part of it. So I kind of understand that if they do, but also like be a teacher or a doctor or anything else,” she added.
Kelly opened up about deciding to feature River on her new song “you don’t make me cry.”
“We just loved it and it fit in with the record and she came into the studio and said, ‘Can I sing?’” Kelly said. “And so my producer just took my vocal off completely and just let her sing on the track and she’s just on the whole track. It’s so cute.”
Kelly also remarked on her recent move to the Big Apple, stating that River, 9, and Remington, 7, are enjoying living in the city.
“I love walking around,” she said. “My kids love it so much. They love getting on the subway. My son doesn’t allow us to stand near him so it looks like he’s by himself. He’s 7! I was, like, ‘OK!’”
Kelly treated the audience to a lively performance of her 2004 hit “Since U Been Gone” in addition to playing her newer songs “mine,” “favorite kind of high,” and “lighthouse.”

Kelly Clarkson is teaming up with her daughter River Rose for a new song!
On Friday (September 22), the 41-year-old entertainer debuted the deluxe edition of her latest album chemistry, featuring a brand new track titled “you don’t make me cry,” which her nine-year-old daughter sings with her on.
“You don’t make me cry / And I cry at everything/ You don’t make me feel / And I feel more than most / now that says something, doesn’t it?” Kelly sings, as River provides backup vocals. “Feeling free since I found out you don’t have power / So you searching for some/ Well, you can’t have mine / you don’t make me cry.”

Kelly Clarkson welcomed a very special duet partner onstage during a recent performance on her Las Vegas residency – her daughter River Rose.
The Chemistry pop icon and her nine-year-old daughter belted out an adorable duet of Kelly‘s smash hit “Heartbeat Song.” Fans might recall that River Rose had a special connection to the song’s release all the way back in 2015.
Although River Rose had a moment of stage fright when she joined her mom onstage, she fearlessly performed the number!
Kelly‘s son Remington, 7, also hopped onstage to dance along to her bop “Whole Lotta Woman.”
The proud mom shared a precious photo of her kids backstage that was seemingly taken moments before the show kicked off.

Kelly Clarkson‘s two children, River Rose and Remington Blackstock, are all grown up!
The 40-year-old singer and talk show host was surrounded by more family members and the original American Idol judges – Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul – for her Walk Of Fame Star Ceremony on Monday (September 19) in Hollywood.
All three former Idol judges spoke about Kelly during her ceremony before she posed for pictures with her official star.
“Where we were very lucky with Kelly was that not only could we find someone with a hell of a good voice, but she also had this amazing sense of humor, personality, charisma,” Simon shared in a press release, adding that American Idol would not have so popular if not for Kelly.
Kelly‘s star is the 2,733rd on the landmark and is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd in front of Ovation Hollywood.

Kelly Clarkson shared a funny new anecdote about her daughter, River Rose.
Apparently, River has figured out a funny way to get out of her school classes and the work on Zoom – she freezes!
“My daughter does this thing, I don’t know if any of y’all have these kids, she’s actually, it’s quite funny,” Kelly shared the story during her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, this afternoon (November 12). “[She will] just pretend that her screen [is frozen]. She’s six. She’s six…I caught her just being [frozen].”
Kelly adds that River will do this for the sole purpose so “she doesn’t have to do what they’re asking her to do. I mean, points for the comedy, but reel it in, dude.”
Previously, Kelly shared another funny story about River and just which musician she wants to marry!
Earlier this summer, it’s being reported just how Kelly is making sure her children, River and Remington, are growing up in a stable environment, despite her and their father, Brandon Blackstock, going through a divorce.

The song – produced by Marshmello and Steve Mac and written by Pink – is featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming animated comedy UglyDolls.
Kelly also stars in UglyDolls as the lead character Moxy. Moxy and her gang of lovably imperfect characters will go on a hilarious journey through UglyVille, where they embrace what it means to be unique and discover that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing.
The UglyDolls soundtrack is out NOW, and the movie hits theaters on May 3.
