Original 'Back to the Future' Stars Support Broadway Cast at Opening Night of New Musical!

The cast of the new Back to the Future musical is receiving support from the cast of the original movie!

Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox, and Lea Thompson were all in attendance for opening night of the new Broadway show on Tuesday (July 25) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

The three actors joined the Broadway cast Roger Bart, Casey Likes, Hugh Coles, Liana Hunt, Jelani Remy, Nathaniel Hackmann, Merritt David Janes, and Mikaela Secada on the red carpet.

After winning the Olivier Award for Best New Musical last year, Back to the Future: The Musical has transferred from London’s West End to Broadway. When Marty McFly finds himself transported back to 1955 in a time machine built by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown, he accidentally changes the course of history. Now he’s in a race against time to fix the present, escape the past and send himself… back to the future.

The film’s creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis worked together to adapt the movie for the stage and the show features music from multi-Grammy winners Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard alongside hit songs from the movie including “The Power of Love,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “Earth Angel” and “Back in Time.”

'Back to the Future' Musical Begins Tonight on Broadway, First Photos Revealed!

The Back to the Future musical is beginning performances TONIGHT on Broadway and the first photos from the show have been released.

Tony winner Roger Bart stars as Doc Brown, reprising the role he originated in London’s West End production. Casey Likes, who made his Broadway debut last year in Almost Famous, plays the role of Marty McFly.

Here is the official synopsis: “Marty McFly is a rock ‘n’ roll teenager who is accidentally transported back to 1955 in a time-travelling DeLorean invented by his friend, Dr. Emmett Brown. But before he can return to 1985, Marty must make sure his high school-aged parents fall in love in order to save his own existence.”

Also starring in the musical are Olivier Award nominee Hugh Coles (George McFly), Liana Hunt (Lorraine Baines), Jelani Remy (Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry), and Nathaniel Hackmann (Biff Tannen).

'Back to the Future' Musical Confirmed for 2023 Broadway Run, First Two Cast Members Announced!

Back to the Future: The Musical is officially coming to Broadway next year and the producers just revealed a lot of exciting info!

The musical will be taking flight at the Winter Garden Theatre, which is currently home to the Broadway revival of The Music Man starring Hugh Jackman.

Back to the Future will begin preview performances on Friday, June 30, 2023 ahead of an official opening night performance on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

The musical has been playing on London’s West End and won the award for Best New Musical at this year’s Olivier Awards. The show features a book by Bob Gale and new music from Glen Ballard and Alan Silvestri. There are also additional songs from the film, including “The Power of Love” and “Johnny B. Goode.”

Kristin Chenoweth Reunites with 'Charlie Brown' Broadway Cast, 20 Years Later!

Kristin Chenoweth appears on stage during the You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown 20-year reunion at 2019 BroadwayCon on Saturday night (January 12) in New York City.

The Broadway star won a Tony Award for her role as Sally Brown in the musical and she joined her former co-stars Anthony Rapp (Charlie Brown), Roger Bart (Snoopy), Ilana Levine (Lucy), and B.D. Wong (Linus).

Also participating in the panel, moderated by Dave Quinn, was director Michael Mayer.

“#GoodGrief, my heart is full! Did you think I’d miss this family reunion?! This show started it all for me & this is still my family 20 years later. I love you all & I love @bwaycon for getting us all back together!! #Happiness is on repeat today…” Kristin wrote on Instagram.

Noah Centineo Supports the 'Good Trouble' Cast at Premiere Screening!

Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez sandwich in Noah Centineo at the premiere of Freeform’s Good Trouble on Tuesday night (January 8) at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles.

Good Trouble is the spin-off of The Fosters and Noah starred on that show as Maia and Cierra‘s brother.

Also stepping out for the premiere were Good Trouble actors Zuri Adele, Sherry Cola, Tommy Martinez, Roger Bart, Josh Pence (with girlfriend AJ Michalka), Emma Hunton, Molly McCook, Ken Kirby, Michael Galante, and Max Cutler.

Social media star Gigi Gorgeous stopped by the event and the show’s executive producers Bradley Bredeweg, Peter Paige, and Joanna Johnson.

Emily VanCamp & Josh Bowman: 'Revenge' Ratings Strong!

Emily VanCamp and boyfriend Josh Bowman walk around the set of their hit ABC series Revenge on Monday (October 1) in Los Angeles.

The real-life couple were joined by their co-stars Gabriel Mann, Connor Paolo, Nick Wechsler, and guest stars Jennifer Jason Leigh and Roger Bart on the set that day.

Revenge returned for its second season this past Sunday night on its new night and time and received strong ratings. 9.5 million people watched the episode and it was down only 3% in the demo ratings from the series premiere.
