Queens Who Quit or Retired From Drag After 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

Doing drag is no easy job.

There have been dozens and dozens of drag queens featured on RuPaul’s Drag Race over the years, but not all of them have continued to do drag after exiting the show.

In fact, there are several Drag Race stars who either formally announced their retirement, and/or have simply stopped performing in drag.

Many of the stars who have stopped doing drag have continued to work within the arts, while others have removed themselves from the entertainment world entirely.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 15 Judges - One New Judge Joining the Panel as a Regular in 2023!

RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming back!

The long-running drag competition reality TV series is set to return on Friday, December 6 on MTV, and it promises to be the biggest season yet.

Season 15 features 16 queens – the most competitors on one season to date – as well as an increased cash prize of $200,000, the most given out for the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race yet.

It was also just revealed which superstar pop queen will be featured in the two-part premiere episodes. And now, there’s one new judge being added as a regular on the panel!

Every Winner of 'RuPaul's Drag Race,' Ranked in Popularity From Lowest to Highest

RuPaul’s Drag Race is a superstar making machine.

The long-running RuPaul-hosted drag competition series has exploded in popularity over the past decade, with dozens of spinoffs and international franchises, as well as All Star editions, including the most recent “All Winners” season.

Thanks to the platform of the show, many of the queens featured have been able to turn their art into massively successful brands, and they’ve also amassed huge followings on social media. Instagram, especially, has proven to be a huge platform for the Drag Race queens to showcase their makeup skills, performances and comedy routines.

Who Won 'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' Season Four? New Winner Crowned in Season Finale!

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK has crowned a new winner!

The season four finale of of drag race competition series aired on Thursday night (November 24) and at the end of the episode, a new winner was announced.

Going into the finale were finalists Black Peppa, Danny Beard, Cheddar Gorgeous, and Jonbers Blonde.

'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' Season 4 Episode 5: One Queen Quits the Show - Who Went Home? (Spoilers)

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is getting intense.

Season 4 of the UK edition of the long-running drag reality TV competition series premiered on September 22, featuring returning judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton.

This season originally featured 12 contestants, and airs on BBC Three, BBC One and WOW Presents Plus.

The series was filmed in Manchester in February of 2022, and the cast was unveiled earlier in September.

Sadly, we lost another contestant after the fifth episode on Thursday (October 20) – and it wasn’t an elimination.

Here’s the plot of the fifth episode: it’s Rusical week! Star of stage and screen Hannah Waddingham joins Michelle Visage and Alan Carr on the judging panel as the curtain falls on another queen.
