Fans of the new ABC series Whiskey Cavalier got their hopes up this week when it was reported that the show might be brought back from cancellation, but it’s not happening.

Showrunner David Hemingson took to Twitter on Friday afternoon (May 24) to reveal the show is officially not coming back.

“Friends: I just got the sad news that @ABCNetwork has passed. #WhiskeyCavalier has been fully and finally cancelled. Thank you all so, so much for your efforts on our behalf. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the outpouring of support,” he wrote.

David added, “It’s incredibly painful to say goodbye to this show and our extraordinary cast, but knowing that we made something you enjoyed – and that I believe will stand the test of time – makes it all worthwhile.”

Whiskey Cavalier fans can hold out hope for more episodes even though ABC canceled it recently!

The network is currently in talks with Warner Bros. Television to bring back the Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan series for a second season, according to Deadline.

The ratings for the show were never as strong as expected, despite ABC giving a strong promotional push.

“It was a tough decision, it was the last decision we made,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said last week. “We thought we gave it very strong launch in spring. But we lost audience. We felt the biggest opportunity was to try something new. We looked for other time slots but did not see a real opportunity to grow.”

Here are all the shows that were canceled this season by ABC.

Scott Foley made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday (February 28) alongside Derek Hough, and revealed that his worst on-screen kiss belongs to Tyra Banks.

The two stars locked lips back in 2000, during Tyra‘s three-episode arc as Jane on Felicity’s third season.

“She was just not into it,” Scott admitted. “I think it was her first on-screen kiss, and I was so excited about it, but it was a lot bigger than it needed to be or should have been — which isn’t always bad… but most of them are great and that [one wasn't].”

“Oh, she’s going to kill me,” Scott added.

Scandal may have ended, but the cast will forever be friends and they proved that by taking a vacation to Mexico over Memorial Day weekend!

Kerry Washington, Scott Foley, Bellamy Young, George Newbern, Tony Goldwyn, Katie Lowes, and Jeff Perry, along with some of their significant others, enjoyed an epic weekend at Impression at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Rivera Maya in Mexico.

The group of 12 booked all of the villas at Impression, which is basically a resort within a resort. Suites range in size from 832 to 2,027 square feet and are crafted with the utmost attention to detail, from hand-selected furniture, art and décor to exclusive dining rooms and terraces offering perfect sunset views. “Reunited! And yes, it feels soooooooo good 🤣! Love hanging with my #ScandalFam in Mexico at @zoetryresorts #ZoetryParaiso Impression. Much needed time together! XOXOXOXOXOXO,” Kerry wrote on Instagram.

Whiskey Cavalier is about an FBI agent (Foley) and a CIA operative (Cohan) who are assigned to work together and lead a team of spies to periodically save the world while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics. Watch the trailer below!

Nathan Fillion keeps it cool and casual while attending Entertainment Weekly & People’s New York 2018 Upfronts Celebration held at The Bowery Hotel on Monday (May 14) in New York City.

The 47-year-old The Rookie star was joined at the event by Whiskey Cavalier‘s Scott Foley and Splitting Up Together‘s Oliver Hudson.

Shonda Rhimes and the cast of Scandal celebrated the series finale of their hit ABC show on Thursday night (April 19) with a special appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Stars Kerry Washington, Guillermo Diaz, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina, Bellamy Young, Scott Foley, Joe Morton, Cornelius Smith Jr. and George Newbern were all in attendance.

Kerry and Shonda came out first, and recalled how casting her as Olivia Pope went down: “I remember you first coming in,” Shonda said on the show, turning to Kerry. “Kerry first came in, and I had been meeting like all of these actresses.”

“Everybody wanted this part,’ Kerry added. “But you came in and it was amazing!” said Shonda. ‘It was literally like two seconds in, you started talking about politics and I knew I wanted Kerry for the part.”

Shonda also reveals that, yes, she knows what that ending means, and no, she’s never telling. “I get one last thing to say is a spoiler that I get to hold onto ’til the end of my life,” Shonda said – Watch all the videos below!
