Michelle Yeoh & Mindy Kaling Honored at Gold House's 2022 Gold Gala

Michelle Yeoh stuns in a pink gown while arriving at Gold House’s Inaugural Gold Gala: A New Gold Age held at Vibiana over the weekend in Los Angeles.

The 59-year-old actress was honored at the event with the SeeHer award, for defying gender stereotypes throughout her career.

Many of Michelle‘s co-stars including Everything Everywhere All At Once‘s Destin Daniel Cretton and Ke Huy Quan, and Crazy Rich AsiansJon M. Chu, Henry Golding, and Harry Shum Jr. supported her at the event.

Elsewhere at the event, Mindy Kaling was honored with an award, which was presented by her Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan

In addition, Liv Lo, Shelby Rabara, Ally Maki, Chloe Bennet, Midori Francis, Daniel Dae Kim, Ian Anthony Dale, Auli’i Cravalho, Lisa Ling, Prabal Gurung, Chloe Kim, Kelly Marie Tran, Arden Cho, Ashley Park, Jeannie Mai, Jeezy, Ludi Lin, Sherry Cola plus Bling Empire stars Kelly Mi Li and Kane Lim were also there.

FYI: Michelle wore Prabal Gurung. Midori wore Bach Mai. Mindy wore Naeem Khan. Ashley is wearing Idyl jewelry.

'Crazy Rich Asians' Spinoff Focusing On Astrid & Charlie's Romance Is In The Works

The world of Crazy Rich Asians is officially expanding, with the announcement that a spinoff movie is in the works.

According to Deadline, the upcoming movie will focus on fan-favorite characters Astrid and Charlie, played by Gemma Chan and Harry Shum, Jr.

Michelle Yeoh Opens The SXSW Festival With 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'

Michelle Yeoh hits the red carpet premiere of her new movie, Everything Everywhere All At Once, during the 2022 SXSW Conference and Festivals held at The Paramount Theatre on Friday night (March 11) in Austin, Texas.

The 59-year-old actress met up with co-stars Jenny Slate and Jamie Lee Curtis at the event, as well as Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Tallie Medel, and Harry Shum Jr.

Directors Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan and producer Jonathan Wang also joined the cast there.

Earlier in the day, the cast stopped by the Variety Studio at the festival, where Jamie explained why she said no to one element of the movie.

Everything Everywhere All At Once centers on an aging Chinese immigrant, who is swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save the world by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led.

The movie will be released in theaters on March 25.

Here’s a synopsis for the movie: Hopeless romantic but eternally single LA journalist Natalie (Nina Dobrev) thinks things are beginning to look up when she swipes right on a dreamy guy from the East Coast, Tag (Darren Barnet). Taking a leap of faith she jumps on a flight to surprise her crush for the holidays, only to discover that she’s been catfished by Tag’s childhood friend who is equally unlucky in love, Josh (Jimmy O. Yang). This lighthearted romantic comedy chronicles her attempt to reel in love.

James Saito, Harry Shum Jr., Mikaela Hoover and Heather McMahan also star.

The film will be released on Netflix on November 5, 2021.
