'Supergirl' Movie In the Works from Warner Bros. & DC Comics

A Supergirl movie is in the works for the DC Comics Extended Universe!

The character is currently being played by Melissa Benoist in The CW’s series Supergirl, though this is a separate project.

The Supergirl movie will be written by Oren Uziel, who previously wrote the screenplays for 22 Jump Street and The Cloverfield Paradox. He’s also writing the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

A producer has not yet been secured for the film, according to Deadline.

WHO DO YOU THINK should play Supergirl in the upcoming movie?

Chris Wood Not Returning to 'Supergirl,' Jeremy Jordan Accepts Recurring Role

There are some changes coming to The CW’s Supergirl for the fourth season.

Jeremy Jordan‘s Winn will be going from a series regular to a recurring character. He addressed the change on Instagram.

“This is not goodbye,” Jeremy promised in a new Instagram post. “Although you may not see him putting around the DEO every week, I love everyone in National City too much to stay away forever. Winn WILL return in season 4.”

He also opened up about why he’s going from a series regular on the DC show to recurring: “It’s been the adventure of a lifetime, and breathing life into that brilliant, quirky, puppy dog nugget named Winn has been a true joy. But lately, my gut has been telling me that I’m once again ready to begin a new chapter in my life… and if I’ve learned anything, it’s that you gotta listen to your gut. So, I want to thank everyone behind the scenes at Supergirl for understanding it was time for me to return home…to spend time with my wife and friends, and focus on crafting the next stage of my career.”

In addition, Chris Wood, who plays Mon-El, will not return for season four.

“The plan for Chris was always to have him on the show for two years,” executive producer Robert Rovner explained. “We’ve loved telling Mon-El’s story, as well as the story we’ve told for him and Kara. We hope the fans felt that it was a satisfying conclusion.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK of the Supergirl changes??
