As 2014 comes to a close, we’re bringing you the top 10 highest grossing films at the box office this year!

It was a hot year for movies – we saw Chris Pratt break out as a totally hot movie star with his film Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as his hit animated flick The Lego Movie. Jennifer Lawrence was another box office success with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 and X-Men: Days of Future Past, both making the top ten highest grossing films of the year. In fact, Jennifer was recently named the top-grossing actress of the year with her films!

Here is what the Transformers: Age of Extinction actress had to share with the mag:

On Hollywood coming to China: “I actually never thought I was going to be an international actress. [But now] we are in the right time. We’ve got the chance to work with the West. The West pays attention to the East these days.”

On her role in Transformers: “She is very strong and precise with a sharp personality. People will remember this role.”

On being one of the most recognized actresses in China: “In the beginning, I loved people to recognize me. I wanted them to recognize me. It was such a new feeling. But then it became troublesome – now I have to cover my face to go anywhere.”

Transformers: Age of Extinction came out victorious again at the weekend box office!

The action film starring Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz grossed $36.4 million over the weekend. It’s worldwide total currently stands at an astounding $575.6 million in just ten days.

Coming in second place was Melissa McCarthy‘s new comedy Tammy with $21 million for the three-day weekend and $32.9 million across the five day holiday.

Rounding out the top five were the new horror movie Deliver Us From Evil with $9.5 million, 22 Jump Street with $9.4 million, and the animated flick How to Train Your Dragon 2 with $8.75 million.

Also opening this weekend was Earth to Echo, which placed sixth with $8.25 million. Expanding into wide release were the documentary America at number 11 with $2.725 million, Keira Knightley‘s Begin Again with a strong $1.3 million at number 15, and Chris Evans‘ Snowpiercer with just under a million dollars at number 16.

Jack Reynor hits up the premiere of his new film, Transformers: Age of Extinction held at The Savoy Theatre in Dublin, Ireland on Thursday evening (July 3).

The 22-year-old actor met up on the carpet with his fiance, Madeline Mulqueen and father, Damien.

On the carpet, Jack was seen posing for pictures with fans after exiting his hotel earlier in the day to get ready.

Transformers: Age of Extinction opened to the biggest numbers this year so far with a $100 million box office debut!

According to THR, the fourth installment, starring Mark Wahlberg, did well overseas too, taking in $201.3 million for a worldwide bow of $301.3 million!

22 Jump Street, starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, stayed strong at No. 2 with an additional $15.4 million, for a total gross of $139.8 million so far.

Coming in third was the animated family film How to Train Your Dragon 2, which wasn’t far behind with $13.1 million in its third weekend.

Rounding out the top five were Kevin Hart‘s Think Like a Man Too and Angelina Jolie‘s live-action fairy tale Maleficent, which took in $13.1 million and $10.4 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, at the specialty box office, Begin Again, starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine, and Hailee Steinfeld, took in a solid $148,325 from five theaters in New York and Los Angeles for a location average of $29,665.

Jack Reynor is all suited up for the screening of his film Transformers: Age of Extinction held at the Aventura Mall on Thursday (June 26) in Miami, Fla.

The 22-year-old actor was joined at the event by his fiancee Madeline Mulqueen and the film’s director Michael Bay.

Jack is being eyed for the role of baseball great Josh Hamilton in Casey Affleck‘s upcoming biopic which he wrote and will be directing, Deadline reports. Josh is an outfielder who struggled greatly with drugs and alcohol in the early 2000s. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels.
