With the ridiculous success that Grey’s Anatomy has pulled off, it’s no wonder there’s going to be a spin-off.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Kate Walsh, who plays neonatal surgeon Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, will be headlining the show. This could get very interesting…
A two-hour pilot of the show is scheduled to air in May.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING??? Spinoffs very rarely work, first of all. Second of all, it is the #1 show BECAUSE of the assembled cast, crew and writers. Start messing with that too much and you find yourself with a sub-average show that is quickly dying!
What are they thinking? I hope that they do not kill Meredith off the show tomorrow. I will not watch the show anymore if they keep losing major characters. The best part of the show is the Meredith/Derek relationship. The show will quickly die if they keep changing out the main characters. Look at ER, it was never the same after George Clooney left.

hrm.. yeah i can’t imagine this being successful. why mess with such a good recipe? it wont’ make as much money as grey’s and probably set kate walsh’s career back a few steps… i guess we’ll see…? if shonda rhimes is writing for it, it might be OK…
They have to get rid of her because then the relationship with Meredith and Derek will not move on. His exwife cant be in every episode, and not realistic that she would continue to work there with her ex. Sorry.
Also she’s a boring actress..soap opera style.

#8 – Blue….Realistic? What’s not realistic is Meredith being dead for 20 minutes and then coming back to life. Kate Walsh is great. I’d rather watch her than whiny Meredith any day.
Such a bad idea. Love Kate Walsh and her character, but I doubt she’ll be able to carry a whole show by herself. And who needs TWO greys anatomy’s on the air? Here’s hoping the producers don’t shoot themselves in the foot.
Addison has always been my favorite character on the show, since she first arrived on it, and she always will be. This spinoff may be a good thing for Addison fans since we will get to see more of her. Kate Walsh is an amazing actress and I believe the best on the show. I will deffinately watch the spinoff, but even if the spinoff doesn’t go well, either way Addison will still be there, so I guess things are ok.
I think it’ll be a shame is Kate Walsh leaves she plays such a major part in the runnin of the show. On the other hand it might be good if she gets her own spinoff because it’ll give her character a better chance to develop. I think we should all wait and watch the spin off before we make jusgements about it’s success.
