I don’t like this guy… he scares me.

  • bear

    I want to see him

  • sillyme

Something about Clay freaks me out, too. Anyway, we all knew he’d end up on Broadway (I can hear Simon now saying “I told you so!). It’s turning to be the graveyard for Idols whose sales aren’t doing so well. We’ll probably see Kelly Clarkson head over there next for Annie Get Your Guy or something.

looks like his singing career is going downhill that he’s now headed towards broadway…clay is a sad character who is dealing with a lot of issues in life and i hope he truly finds himself and stays true to himself…i remember how he criticized his father infront on national tv on primetime and i wonder if he has been able to resolve those deep father wounds by now…from what i heard his father passed away without clay making peace with him…that must be so hard to live with and am sure is one of his biggest regrets in life…its nots much a problem of his sexuality but so many internal issues and that father problem is number 1…hope he eventually resolves that and makes peace with the spirit…

  • mandy

He’s so gay. My gay friend slept with him – he has proof. I told him he should send the pics to a tabloid magazine. It’s bullshit that he is still in denial!

  • e3r

    WOOO!!!!!!!!

why do people feel the need to talk about whether hes gay straight or whatever else?? who cares?? hes awesome.

  • Mom

Mandy honey, don’t believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see……

  • Dana

Good for Clay! It didn’t hurt any of the other major music stars to do a stint on Broadway.

Jeeze Jarod, couldn’t you use a picture that isn’t 4 fucking years OLD! WTF?

  • Mandy

#7 Listen sweetheart – I can start a war right here. I was being polite! I saw the pics and I was there – in UTAH that night – so don’t even go there with me – I can show the world the pics…..for a price.

  • mikie

I agree with mandy. If he would just get rid of the elephant in the room everyone would move away from the subject. He should just admit it so that won’t be the only thing people talk about.

#6 (e3r) I agree with you too. gay or straight – he is great – but that’s why he should come clean so the focus can be on his talent.

Mandy – you should come out with the pictures so everyone can STFU. Go girl!

David Hyde Pierce will always be the only Sir Robin for me. I don’t feel any compulsion to see CA in the role.

  • Kris

Mandy, Clay’s not in denial, it’s his fans who are in denial. What did your friend think of him?

  • cool

I look forward to seeing Clay in this role. Who gives a shit if Clay is gay or not? He has an awesome voice and I know more than a few people who will be checking this one out!

  • sarinna

i wonder if there will be enough of the aging clymates to fill up the room…they’re probably in ICU by now…

  • Frenchy

Broadway is a giant step up from some reality runner up. Pe0ple would give an arm and a leg to get a Broadway credit to their resume.

Why should ANYONE have to say ANYTHING about their sexuality? It has no bearing on their talent nor their abilities, whether it’s athletic, theatrical, singing, whatevs. Honestly, that’s just asinine. When that is accepted maybe the world will move into the new millenium. Sheesh.

And if there were truly any for real pictures of someone so famous, in this day and age of money grubbing, they’d be all over the damned place. Actually, even then I’d have to question as it’s not all that difficult to make the unreal seem real. It’s a sad damned day.

Don’t go all “that’s a fan” on me, by the way, because my commentary is aimed at the larger picture of ridiculous invasiveness our culture is currently embracing.

By the way, I think he’ll do fine in this role; it’s demanding to do Broadway and most pop singers would kill for the opportunity and only wish they had the real chops to do so. Broadway performers generally are miles beyond that heavy breathing, fake ass moaning, studio enhanced shit prevalent on the radio. Yep, they work rings around the “stars” of today.

    #15 Kris

This is terrible to say because I would not want anyone to “kiss & tell” on me but you don’t know who I am so it’s innocent. My friend said he was not very good at all – nervous. My friend also said he was very rude. I can actually see that in interviews. There is a “cockiness” about him. No pun intended.

  • mandy

    Kris

Also – I agree with you totally – it is his fans (and maybe his mother) that are in denial.

  • Misty

Mandy, you seem incredibly invested in this. Like some other people who have been obsessed with the whole issue for months if not years. Actually I do know who you are (we people on the Internet know everything, don’t we?) Btw, my friend slept with you. Said you were cold as dead fish. It must be true!

  • Namiko Nakamura

    To “sillyme” , who

Um, Broadway kicks ass. It’s my dream to be on Broadway, and I think insulting people that get into Broadway musicals is lame. Broadway stars are fantastic actors/singers/dancers. They can sing better than your dumb recording artists.
