Matthew McConaughey Welcomes Son

Matthew McConaughey‘s Brazilian girlfriend, Camila Alves, gave birth to a boy at 6:22pm PT on Monday, July 7.

The first child for McConaughey and Alves was born on Monday evening, the actor’s publicist said. The couple announced the pregnancy in January.

The 38-year-old actor has been dating Alves for two years. Their baby arrived weighing 7lb 4oz, but a name is yet to be confirmed.

“A healthy baby boy was born,” Matthew told OK!. “Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world – Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure – raising one, together.”
