Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays a little basketball with a friend in front of his home on Tuesday (April 7) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 31-year-old returned to Showtime this week in The Tudors. Talking about his acting on the show, the actor told the NY Daily News, “What I do is I isolate myself while I’m shooting it. I lived in a house on my own. It’s very Spartan, I don’t have luxuries. I go to the gym, all of this almost physical meditation. That’s what it takes, because I don’t look like Henry, so I have to do more to be Henry VIII.”

He looks great. I loved him in August Rush, it was amazing, and his voice… just wow… (and i did love his irish accent).
Hope he keeps up the good work as an actor and in his personal life.
Good luck to him, his first job was an Irish tv commercial for Knorr Soup which he doesn’t like to remember. But I remember the moment he walked into the casting session and we all knew he had something special. He was shy and elusive on set, not mixing much with the other actors or crew, but a very nice young guy. Seems like he still works this way.
Great story Irish adgirl. So glad you hired him and gave him his start so we can all see his beautiful face and amazing talent.
