Don’t know who she is, but what a classy looking lady. Some more famous people could learn how to dress from her.

OMG. FINALLY. a good look, no infact two good looks. both dresses can be described as “hella boring” lol, especially the black dress, but let me just say this is better than her red carpet look at IB…because i was stuck in the middle with that very fitted dress (more in the i can’t believe what she’s wearing and that dress is doing nothing for her), but these two looks all work because no matter what lainey says she is REALLY pretty. i think going for classic and mundane works for her, because her face therefore gets to do all the work. whoever dressed her needs to get props because that rc dress was ugh so fustrating. she looks like she has no make up on. thank goodness for two good looks at cannes. gah.

I love her – just a note, you know her name is ZIYI ZHANG (you got it backwards).

    melanie Says:

Wow, she looks great and her name changes based on chinese standards which places the family name first.

@Tanner: Zhang ZIyi, a beautiful lady from modern China, but with sort of ancient oriental beauty. love her, you guy really backwards

    josephine Says:

Just to settle this ONCE AND FOR ALL, she is known as Zhang Zi Yi, not ZiYi Zhang. The Chinese place the surname first. It was only in the last few years or so that the non-asian press started (for whatever reason) putting the surname at the end. That’s just wrong…and rude. You don’t call Brad Pitt “Pitt Brad” right?

    nice makeup

    Allie Says:

I’ve followed her since she first became famous…but someone please confirm w/ me that she’s her eyes done…in her older pics/movies, her lids are not as prominent… they are significantly more prominent here, hence the surgery. something is off about her current look…she doesn’t look as “natural” as she once was…when she first became known in the States..

    Myrtle Says:

people consider Zhang Ziyi as the symbol of my country. it seems that she is much more famous than any Chinese. I must admit that I feel super disappointed for choosing he as a icon or something. She’s got no personality. she stays the same one movie after another. She is boring to me.

    Keria Says:

I have to say, the LBD is much better. She should not choose the pink long dress actually, first, her shouder is quite broad, second, her current skin color is very dark, last, her breast is really tiny, this address exactly makes these three weak points standing out. not a smart choice.

plus she looks having put some weight on recently.

    WRONG!!!!

She has never been in Shanghai Knights.

    mertz Says:

okay i picked up those same points with the pink dress. i would have different coloured dress, but atleast these looks are entirely better than that assy dress at the red capret of inglorious ********…even the hair and the makeup and the jewlery is better. and also unlike what lainey said on her twitter…yes she’s light skinned…but she’s not like micheal jackson ghost looking either. she’s really pretty. she should just let that do the talking and maybe get a better stylist.

    Yan Says:

Hi there, I’m a girl from China as well. I love this website as there a lot of nice pictures here. I think there is a rumor about Ziyi – It was thought in China most people don’t like Ziyi. I would like to explain that a little.

Several years ago, many Chinese don’t like Ziyi as she’s not as traditional as other most Chinese women. But now her personality was regarded as brave and perseverence. This kind of personality was respected by Chinese as well though it takes longer time to be admitted by the public. I want to say I once was such a Chinese who doesn’t like Ziyi at all. But I changed my attitude to her as many Chinese people. We’re proud of her not just for her beauty also for her inside.

Thanks to all for your love to Ziyi~
